Task

Crafting an End-to-End UX Research and Design Toolset

I wanted to create a product for UX/UI designers to cover their needs in UX research, design psychology principles, user flows and presentation slides. To cover these needs, I created a digital product, a website, and accompanying branding.

Challenge

Navigating the Dual Role of Designer and Developer

As many startups, Purple Unity wanted to launch its product as fast as possible to gain traction from potential customers. So I needed to create a stable version within the first few months. Creating a flexible design that can support complex and vast functionality was challenging as well.

Solutions

Design, Brand, and Development: A Full-Stack Creation approach

To design with clarity, I conducted user interviews and mapped key flows through an experience map. I built a content strategy to support the site’s structure and voice. For the brand, I created a logo, chose the color palette and typography, and crafted visual and verbal identity through custom illustrations and core brand artefacts. I used Webflow to bring it all to life as a no-code website.

About the Project

Designing a UX Toolkit for Designers, by a Designer

UX.Day began as my solo venture to create a Figma-based toolkit that simplifies UX research for designers at all levels. I conducted interviews with UX/UI professionals to define the core needs and shaped an experience map for the website and product flow. I crafted a full content strategy to support both clarity and trust. For the visual direction, I created moodboards, then designed the website layout and wrote all its content. I developed the brand from the ground up—logo, colors, typography, illustrations, and voice. Each branding artefact was created to support the product’s mission: accessible, research-based UX. Finally, I built the entire website in Webflow, ensuring a smooth, no-code launch.

Implementation

Bringing UX.day to the Digital World: Website & product Implementation

After UX research was done, I put up a moodboard to get an idea of the visual design system UX.day was going to have. With neutral and accent color palettes in place, I created an information architecture for the website. Section by section, I created the content and supporting illustrations. After the designs were ready, I deployed them on the website. I then created a responsive layout for all device sizes and set up the CMS and domain settings. And the site was ready to be launched.

Conclusion

Crafting a Solution for Designers, by Designers

With UX.day, the goal was clear: to create a tool that serves the design community by simplifying their research and workflow processes. Itwas a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that required balancing quality with speed. Through detailed research and a comprehensive content strategy, I was able to create a product and website that not only look good, but also function effectively. The final result is a digital platform that designers can trust to help streamline their workflow and improve their UX research processes.
